The Tapo P100 smart plug 2 pack is at #22 in the Amazon UK DIY and Tools top 30 this morning. With Christmas lights going up and dark evenings, a smart plug is the simplest way to put lamps, lights and small appliances on a schedule from your phone. Which Tapo plug should you buy?
The short answer: the P100 is the basic mini plug for on, off, schedules and timers. The P110 adds energy monitoring so you can see what a device uses. The P110M adds Matter, for Apple Home and other Matter systems. The P304M is a 4 socket smart extension lead. All are listed as working with the free Tapo app and with Alexa and Google voice control.
